Drone Surveying Services & GIS

Drones are the Ultimate Platform to Survey Small or Large areas by utilizing Stable Aerial Platforms over a Site with Ultra-Sharp High-Definition Camera Systems.

Delta Scan have access to a World-Wide Network of Data Collectors

With over 100 expert partners, Delta Scan provides the most cost-effective solution on the market. Starting from Multi-Rotors for Small Sites to Large-Scale Fixed-Wing Drones for larger distances. We incorporate RTK and PPK systems to cut down on Control Points and time required on site. Our Data Collectors Operate all over the World allowing us to mobilize to site timeously with Local Teams who are Trained by us in Data Capture Principles. This cuts down on time to get to the site and gives us access to the right equipment for the job.

Delta Scan provide the following deliverables in the various industries

Bathymetric Surveys
Bathymetric Surveys

Our bathymetry offerings mean that water isn’t a problem if you’re trying to find accurate terrain readings at the bottom of a water body. By capturing the underlying topology and merging it with above-ground point clouds, a full, comprehensive overview of a survey area’s features can be modelled, displayed and analysed.

Orthomosaic
High Detail Georeferenced Orthophotos

Aerial photography is stitched together, and rectified onto the area’s DTM, allowing us to create highly detailed, large-scale orthomosaics. By taking the area’s elevation changes into account, and correcting the heading, pitch, and roll, the orthomosaic is capable of near-centimetre measurements, and gives a clear overview of the survey area.

Point Cloud
3D Point Cloud & Mesh Models

Whether the point clouds are captured via remote sensing, handheld, or terrestrial sensors, they all maintain a high level of accuracy, allowing for high-precision models to be created, no matter what the subject matter. These mesh models can be used for high-resolution models, which can be displayed in our very own DeltaCloud.

Digital Terrain Models
Digital Terrain Models & Digital Suface Models

The best way to display an area’s terrain and related features are DTMs (Digital Terrain Model), DEMs (Digital Elevation Model) and DSMs (Digital Surface Model). DTMs provide a good overview of the terrain in point cloud format, while the DEM shows this in an elevation grid or raster format, giving a different visual representation of the terrain. DSMs combine the ground and non-ground features of an area, creating a model representative of all features found within a survey’s AOI.

Topographical Surveys
Topographical Surveys

Whether it’s LiDAR or photogrammetry, topographical surveys encapsulate both the ground and non-ground features of a survey area. The terrain, along with vegetation and man-made objects are captured, and represented spatially with a high accuracy, allowing for a multitude of survey-specific applications.

Lidar Surveys
LiDAR Surveys

LiDAR penetrates vegetation, allowing for previously-unseen or vegetation-covered areas to be captured, modelled, and represented accurately, even if the terrain isn’t visible in the RGB imagery captured onsite. The high levels accuracy of LiDAR allow for 1:1 point clouds of features, making measurements possible even when not on site.
