Founded by professional engineers who watched large industrial operators accept uncertainty as a cost of doing business. The data was always too slow, too thin, or too generic to act on with confidence.

We do it differently. Delta Scan combines calibrated capture hardware, a global partner network for fieldwork at scale, an in-house engineering and architectural team, and proprietary software built for sector-specific inspection problems that off-the-shelf tools do not solve.

We serve two kinds of client. For asset owners, EPC firms, and industrial operators, we run the work end to end as the engineer of record, and every report is reviewed and signed by a registered Pr Eng. For other engineering firms, we work as a behind-the-scenes capture and technology partner: you hold the client and the engineering authority, you sign, and we equip the data underneath. Three principles run through every engagement:

• Engineering authority. When Delta Scan is the engineer of record, every deliverable is reviewed and signed by a registered Pr Eng: no audit, report, or model leaves the firm without that sign-off. When we work as a capture and technology partner to another firm, that firm holds the engineer-of-record role and signs; we stand behind the metrology, they stand behind the engineering. Either way the rigour holds.
• Right tool for the job. We select capture equipment for the asset, not the other way around. A 45m cooling tower and a 980m production shaft are different engineering problems requiring different hardware.
• Capability we build when we need it. When commercial tools fall short on an engagement, we build what the job requires. The client benefits immediately; the capability joins our stack for future work.

• Pr Eng registration (ECSA). Our engineering lead, Darryl Epstein, is a registered Professional Engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa (Reg. No. 202001436). Every engineering audit and structural deliverable is signed under this registration.
• SAGI accredited surveyors. All topographic, cadastral, and engineering survey deliverables are signed by South African Geomatics Institute accredited surveyors.
• B-BBEE Level 1 contributor. Delta Scan is a Level 1 Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment contributor, the highest recognition level for procurement.
• SARS R&D recognition (11D FY2025). Our research and development work is recognised under the South African Revenue Service section 11D incentive.
• POPIA compliant (South Africa). Our data handling complies with the Protection of Personal Information Act, and aligns to GDPR standards for international engagements.
• Professional indemnity insurance. All engagements are covered by professional indemnity insurance, scaled to project value with a minimum of R5 million cover.
• Registered entity. Delta Scan (Pty) Ltd is a CIPC-registered South African company. Company registration, VAT, and B-BBEE certificate details are provided on request for vendor onboarding.
