Delta Scan (Pty) Ltd ("Delta Scan", "we", "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA) of South Africa and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What we collect

When you submit an enquiry through our contact form or newsletter, we collect the information you provide: your name, company, email address, telephone number, country, sector, enquiry type and message. Our servers and analytics tools may also record technical data such as IP address, browser type, device, and pages visited.

Why we collect it (lawful basis)

We process this information to respond to your enquiry, to scope and price engineering work, to send you material you have requested, and to improve our website. Our lawful bases are your consent (which you give when submitting a form), the performance of a contract or pre-contract steps at your request, and our legitimate interest in operating and improving our business.

Marketing communications

We send an occasional engineering-insights newsletter. Subscription uses confirmed (double) opt-in: after you enter your email address we send you a confirmation link, and you are added to the list only once you click it. Our lawful basis is your consent. Every newsletter carries a one-click unsubscribe, and you may withdraw consent at any time using that link or by emailing info@deltascan.co.za. We do not subscribe you to the newsletter from a contact-form enquiry, and we do not sell or share your address with third parties for their own marketing.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate (for example our email delivery, analytics and hosting providers), each bound to protect it, and where required by law. Some providers may process data outside South Africa; where they do, we take steps to ensure an adequate level of protection.

How long we keep it

We retain enquiry information for as long as necessary to deal with your request and to meet our legal and business-record obligations, after which it is securely deleted or anonymised. Newsletter subscriber details are kept while you remain subscribed; when you unsubscribe, your address is removed from active sending. We keep a record of your subscription consent for as long as we send to you and for a reasonable period afterwards, so we can show that consent was given.

Your rights

Under POPIA and GDPR you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct or delete it, to object to or restrict its processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact info@deltascan.co.za. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa) or your local supervisory authority.

Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top reflects the latest version.
