When a structure fails, a tailings dam breaches, a building burns, or civil unrest damages an asset, two questions follow immediately: what happened, and what will it cost to make good. Both answers must stand up to scrutiny from insurers, lawyers, regulators, and sometimes a court. Slow or contested answers cost every party money.
Reality capture changes the forensic timeline. A drone and ground-based survey records a failed structure or damaged site in hours, before evidence is cleared or weather degrades it, freezing the scene as a measurable, time-stamped 3D record every party can interrogate later. The same dataset supports root-cause investigation and loss quantification.
Delta Scan works both as an independent technical investigator and as a capture and quantification partner to insurers, loss adjusters, and other engineering firms. Where Delta Scan is the engineer of record, forensic findings are reviewed and signed by a registered Pr Eng; where we support another firm or an insurer, they retain the engineer-of-record role and we provide the defensible data.
